Tell Someone You Trust

Step # 1
Watch the following video about "Telling Someone You Trust" and answer the following two questions:
#1 What can you do if you receive a message, while on the Internet, that makes you feel uncomfortable?
#2 Who are the people you trust and can talk to if you experience a situation that makes you feel uncomfortable?
Using a word processing program, type out your answers for the two questions. Make sure you include part of the question in your answer. Also, be sure to use the word processing program to spell check and grammar check your answers.

Step # 2
Go to Vacaroo and create an audio recording of your answers from the questions in step #1. You will need a personal headset and a microphone to create an audio recording. To begin, click on the "Click to Record" button.
When the "Adobe Flash Player Settings" message appears, click on the "Allow" button and start speaking. When finished, click on the "Listen" button. If you are happy with your audio recording, go to step #3.
If you are not happy with your audio recording, click on the "Retry" button and try creating a new audio recording.

Step #3
If you are happy with your audio recording, click on the "Click here to save" button.
Step #4
Do not choose any of the sharing options because you may be required to input personal information. Instead, you are going to download your audio recording and then delete your audio recording from the Internet.
To download, click on the MP3 or the WAV button. You will need to "Save as" in the folder with all of your other Online Safety 101 artifacts.
Once you have downloaded your audio recording, you need to delete it from the Internet. To delete your audio file, click on the "Delete Now" button.
